Which emails verstag sends

Ten templates — six you asked for, and four that arrive by themselves.

There are exactly ten email templates. All of them are in German.

Finished jobs bring no mail — see What runs in the background.

Six you asked for

Each carries a link or a code you use to carry on.

SubjectTriggered by
„Du wurdest zu verstag eingeladen“ (You have been invited to verstag)an owner or admin invites an address
„verstag: E-Mail-Adresse bestätigen“ (confirm email address)a registration
„verstag: Passwort zurücksetzen“ (reset password)"forgot password"
„verstag: Dein Anmeldelink“ (your sign-in link)signing in by link instead of password
„verstag: E-Mail-Änderung bestätigen“ (confirm email change)changing the address on your account
„verstag: Dein Bestätigungscode“ (your confirmation code)re-confirming your identity

The invitation is the only one without the „verstag:“ prefix — it starts directly with „Du wurdest …“.

Confirming an address change goes to both addresses, the old and the new.

Four that arrive by themselves

They report a change to your account after it has happened:

Subject
„verstag: Dein Passwort wurde geändert“ (your password was changed)
„verstag: Die E-Mail-Adresse deines Kontos wurde geändert“ (your account's email address was changed)
„verstag: Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung aktiviert“ (two-factor authentication enabled)
„verstag: Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung entfernt“ (two-factor authentication removed)

They cannot be switched off. There is no setting for it.

None of the four carries a link or a code. Each one says what to do if it was not you, and names security@verstag.io for it.

When no mail arrives

For an invitation that is often nothing to worry about. An invitation to an address that already has an account triggers no mail — the link stands visibly in the settings instead and is passed on by hand. More under Members.

For "forgot password": for an account managed through the identity provider the request is accepted, but nothing arrives. Sign in through your identity provider in that case.
