What runs in the background
Five operations continue without you — and verstag does not tell you when one of them finishes.
Five things run in the background: verification, rendering a single output, batches, the cell analysis, and fetching a provenance report. Signing is not an operation of its own — it is a step inside rendering.
There is no notification
verstag does not tell you when any of them finishes. No email, no push message, no notification area, no bell — and no toast in the open tab either. If a batch finishes while you watch, the display updates without a success message appearing.
Every message in the product belongs to something you just did.
Where you see the state

These displays update themselves as long as the tab is open. If it takes longer, the page moves to a quieter rhythm and says so.
Two places do not update: the batch overview shows the state from when the page was loaded — a finished batch still reads „Läuft“ (running) there. And the downloads drawer, once closed and opened again, likewise shows the state from page load. In both cases, reloading the page helps.
What you can do
For a long batch: leave the tab open, or come back later. Both work; neither brings you a message.
A verification runs to completion even if you close the tab. The seal is there on your next visit.
