Allowances

The four counters, what happens at exhaustion, and what the spending limit covers.

Four things have a counter and a ceiling: „Speicherplatz“ (storage), „Sitzplätze“ (seats), „Videominuten“ (video minutes) and „Signaturläufe“ (signing runs). They appear as bars on the billing page under „Verbrauch“ (usage).

The figures themselves are not here — they come from your plan.

The signed-in product speaks German, so its labels are quoted in German throughout, with the English rendering in italics.

What resets and what does not

BarShows
Storagethe current state
Seatsthe current state
Video minutesconsumption within the billing period
Signing runsconsumption within the billing period

The lower two reset with the billing period; below them it reads „Zeitraum bis …, dann setzen die Kontingente zurück.“ (Period until …, then the allowances reset.) The period is not the calendar month — for a paid workspace it follows your subscription, without one it follows the creation date.

Storage and seats never reset. They show what is there right now: the sum of the files present and the number of active members.

How things are counted

Video minutes come from the actual length of the result, rounded up to the next started minute, at least one.

A signing run is a completed render — an image too, because every render is signed. An image books signing runs only; a video books both.

For storage, billing counts the state of the last daily measurement within the billing period.

The seat ceiling is the number of seats booked, not the number your plan includes in the base price — more can be booked. See Seats.

What exhaustion does

ExhaustedWhat is refused
Storageevery new upload
Seatsaccepting an invitation, reactivating a member, admission through the identity provider
Video minutesvideo renders
Signing runsevery render

If a file no longer fits into the free storage, it is refused before it is transferred.

When a bar shows no number

Instead of "x of y" it then reads:

LineMeaning
„… · unbegrenzt“no ceiling in your plan
„… · Grenze unbekannt“the ceiling could not be determined
„… · wegen offener Zahlung gesperrt“see Payment problems
„… · wegen pausiertem Zahlungseinzug gesperrt“same page
„… · in diesem Plan nicht enthalten“the feature is not part of your plan

The trash counts too

Below the storage bar stands how much of it sits in the trash. Emptying it also removes the associated derivatives.

The spending limit

It is switched on for every plan until the owner switches it off.

With it off, the workspace may work past its ceiling and pays for the overage. That does not apply to signing runs — once those are used up, every further render is refused.

If you withdraw a cancellation, the limit is switched on again.
